girls camp.

every year, the girls in church ages 12-18 go to a camp. it is known around the world as girl's camp! basically, you spend a whole week living the outdoor life. in texas, it can also be known as misery camp, but it's so hot! my first year, it was probably no lower than 80 degrees the whole week-take into account, the 80's and low 90's were at night-but you do gain a lot of memories, which is why i bring these up.....my second year!
//these are from my first year//i'm the one with the big humongo hat//this was a brutal camp//it got to 110 one day

//you see all that sweat?//yes, it's sweat//no, it was not fun

//the rest are from my second year//very fun//in the hilly part of Oklahoma//90 the first day//rained that night (just like the year before)//was in the 80s the rest of the week!!//#best ever#

//in case you haven't noticed by now..//these are not hot shot photos//i took one shower the whole time there (4 days, mind you)//and trust me on this, my hair does not work in humidity//or even air drying//and i've learned that i really don't look good in just plain t-shirts

//it was so gorgeous!

//the one at the very front with the floaty

eureka!

i went exploring on facebook, and look at what dinosaur photo's i found!

night of excellence and new beginnings.

 So, every year at church, we have a special program for the girls that will be turning 12 and coming into the Young Women's program at church. Last year was Cami's first year, so this year she got to be a "welcomer"! And we also have a program at the end of the year to recognize what the young women have done. And than afterwards we went to the gym and just messed around. Ah, the joy of being a teenager.......
Night of Excellence

and than new beginnings.........

new year's dance

So this year for Christmas, the family decided we wanted to go to Virginia. :) Let's just say that didn't work out...........we ended up with the flu, which was TOTALLY fun as you can imagine. It started on the Saturday before. Mom and Dad were taking me out to eat, than to see Cami's last performance of The Christmas Carol (I will definitely make a post about that), when Brandon called and said that Aaron had thrown up (he was babysitting due to the fact that Cami and I were both out). Of course, my mom and dad just said that he would be fine. Aaron ended up throwing up twice more, but mom and dad still wouldn't come home. My mom started feeling sick, and just layed in bed for almost 2 days straight because she felt so sick. Poor mom :( Long story short, Brandon and Cami got it on Christmas Eve. I got it Christmas night, and Spencer got the day after Christmas. So......no Virginia! Brandon and my dad got to go on a mini high adventure for the Boy Scout Troup he's in, and I got to go to the New Year's Dance. So, here's a pic so you can see my happiness!!
These are all my best friends, well not all, but the one's that are 14 & up. I'm the one on the bottom right corner. :) The girls in the pic (including me) we all went shopping together for the dance, and got ready together before hand. SO much fun!
